Someone once said, “it’s not training if it’s not raining”, which I’m not sure is true, but they also said “never trust the Met man” – or in this case, the iPhone weather app!
It was a wet and sticky Saturday morning for the latest bout of conservation work, which unfortunately saw a dip in volunteers – hopefully just due to the forecast.
Despite the honking weather, Julie, Mike, John, Peter and Mike enthusiastically threw themselves into action, tackling our old nemesis, the footpath by Recreation field, as well as the footpath between Reyntiens View and Seymour place. Lastly the path from West Street to North Warnborough, just east of RMS.
Using the new Parish Council tools, fantastic progress was made clearing these routes and making them more accessible for all our Parishioners – What do you think? why not come and have a look for yourself?
Work sadly had to be cut short by the onset of thunderbolts and lightning, which was indeed very, very, frightening – but superb effort again from all our brilliant volunteers!!
No path clearing next month – we’re bridge building instead.
Details to follow, but we are after enthusiastic and robust volunteers for this, as it will be somewhat of a hefty task. So, if you feel like helping the Parish and making it better,
you know who to call……..
