Odiham Parish Council is looking to fill a part-time, Deputy Parish Clerk’s position to work closely with the Parish Clerk and Amenities Officer.
Based at the Parish Office in the beautiful, historic village of Odiham, this 20 hours per week post can be worked Monday to Friday, subject to agreement. There will be an expectation for the post holder to attend some evening meetings which are generally held on a Tuesday evening and there may be occasional weekend work eg supporting community events.
Odiham Parish Council is a forward thinking Council which proactively works for the community it serves and not afraid to explore new opportunities and tackle challenges arising locally and nationally including changes in the sector. Strong administrative and IT skills and an interest in working with the community are key to this role. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate professional and personal skills to support the Council in further developing and delivering its projects listed in the Strategic Plan.
This position offers a starting salary of £25,000 (pro-rata) and benefits from the Local Government Pension scheme.
