The new Farnborough Airport Ltd planning application has been submitted to Rushmoor, so the public consultation period is now open (until 30th December).

In general terms:-
– Overall annual flights unchanged at 50,000
– Moves some non-weekday aircraft movements from 8,900 to 13,500 per annum (with pro-rata on the weight categories)
– Heavier aircraft allowed in the 50-55T category due to new variants of some existing aircraft being a little heavier (but quieter and more fuel efficient)
– Replace Conditions Nos. 7 (1:10,000 risk contour) and 8 (1:100,000 risk contour) with a new condition to produce Public Safety Zone maps in accordance with the Department for Transport requirements
