Work has started today to install permanent gazebo fixings in the parking bays where the Friday market is held. The work includes installing 16 permanent shackle style fixings in the Tarmac which will lie flat when not in use and the work should take no longer than 2 days.
The fixings will allow the market to continue trading during high winds and supports the organisers inOdiham when setting up the markets early on Friday mornings.
Odiham Parish Council agreed to fund this work last year to help protect the market which has proved to be a valued provision during Covid.
The fixings are also suitable for motorcycles and electric bikes.
