2022 was a busy year – taking over The Bridewell, handing the Odiham Book Exchange project to a new community interest company, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, winning the Hampshire Association of Local Councils village of the year competition and the launch of the Odiham and North Warnborough Greening Campaign.
As we start another year we remain focused on delivering the best possible service to residents and campaigning for the things which you say are important to you.
We start the year with a full compliment of Councillors and a new member of staff which brings the office staff to just under 2 full time equivalent hours.
2023 is an election year which means the Council will be reporting all the things it has achieved during a four year term since May 2019. We hope to report this through our Spring newsletter and in person at the Annual Parish Assembly in March. Look out for further details soon.
The cost of living crisis is hitting us all and this also applies to our contracts, service providers and general running costs. We will be setting our 2023/24 budget and precept at the Council meeting on 17th January and will be focused on keeping the Parish Council precept charge as low as possible whilst ensuring sufficient funds to effectively manage the Parish assets and deliver some projects which you say are important to you.
We look forward to working for you during 2023!
