Mission successful! This week, OPC and local volunteers Andrew, Peter and John, again worked with our partners from Hampshire Countryside Service, Mitch and Gemma, to complete this phase of heavy improvement work.
Those familiar with the path will recall a very small bridge, surrounded by a small pond in the middle of the Deer Park…? Well, we’ve made that better. Much better in fact. Now a beautiful, accessible, boardwalk is in place, to help keep those feet dry…. please go see, and enjoy our beautiful countryside at the same time. Please note, it will take a little time for the ground and wood to settle.
Huge kudos to EVERYONE who volunteered so readily over the past couple of weeks, giving up their time to benefit others – as you’ve heard before, teamwork makes the dream work!!! (Cheesy but true!). If you’re interested in helping, do get in touch – everyone is very welcome. Next event will be towards the middle of September.
And a special thank you to Cllr Steve Bell for leading this work, who never remembers to include himself on the list of people to thank.
