Highlighted in the recent OPC Newsletter, we’d like to again highlight the offer for people and organisations to get involved in one of several Hampshire Forest Partnership (HFP) initiatives to increase the number of trees, orchards and mini-forests in Hampshire – FOR FREE!!!!!

Yes, you read that right. The linked guidance PDF offer the details, but just think of the opportunities to improve the environment, improve drainage and cool roads…..
- Shoots Along the Routes covers everything that isn’t a mini forest or community/school orchard, so hedgerows, individual trees, tree clusters etc. Aimed especially at landowners, they can apply to HFP directly, or through the parish council. They can accept joint applications, but we will need proof of landowner consent for each different site.
