Following the delayed start to the emergency works on King Street in Odiham, caused by SGN’s gas leak and the severe weather conditions we experienced, we are pleased to confirm that the project is now due to be completed and the site cleared by Wednesday 18 March.
The works were undertaken to replace faulty electrical cable which had been causing power outages to local homes and businesses. Addressing this fault was essential to ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply for the area.
Despite the initial delays and challenging weather conditions, our teams have worked hard to progress the works as efficiently as possible. We are therefore pleased to confirm that the project will now be completed ahead of schedule. The works were originally planned to finish on 20 April, so completing the project by 18 March represents a significant improvement on the original programme.
We recognise that the works have caused disruption to residents, businesses and visitors to the area, and we would like to sincerely thank you for your continued support, cooperation and patience throughout this period. Your understanding has been greatly appreciated and has helped us complete these essential works safely and efficiently.
Once the site has been cleared, the road and surrounding areas will be returned to normal use.
Thank you again for your patience and support.
